Ransomware attacks bypass conventional protection layers

Ransomware is an ever-evolving form of malware designed to steal business-critical data to then sell this data or to encrypt files on a device, rendering any files and the systems that rely on them unusable. Malicious actors then demand ransom in exchange for decryption. Ransomware attacks are growing and are more sophisticated than ever. They are a sustainable and lucrative business model for cybercriminals.

In some cases, it is easier and cheaper to pay the ransom than to recover the data from a backup. However paying the ransom also does not guarantee that a victim’s files will be returned or that the system will be accessible again. Furthermore the affected network may still be infected and fall victim to a subsequent attack, (as they know that you’ll pay up).

How do we proceed?

We make an appointment to bring in your device for repair. You can contact us by phone or by mail. If you want to know the price of your repair in advance, you can request a target price in our repair center or by telephone on 02 / 380.23.32. Please note: this is often difficult to say in advance, and can only be confirmed after a complete analysis of the problem.

By default, we handle incoming repairs by the First In First Out principle. For an extra charge, we’ll handle your case as an express repair.

If the costs exceed € 100, we will contact you to avoid unexpected costs. When it is impossible to repair your device, or in case you refuse to repair your device, you’ll only the pay for the analysis costs.

When your device is repaired and/or ready for pick-up, we will contact you.

Do you experience IT problems? We can probably fix them remotely. K-Force has a hotline with ticketing system and professional engineers. On business days, we are available from 8 a.m. to 12 noon and from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
